Terms of Use

1. What Spouseport does
Spouseport helps spouses organize a marriage-based green card case: checklists for official forms, places to draft answers, an archive for evidence, interview practice questions, reminders and a tool that merges your documents into one PDF. Spouseport does not prepare, review or file anything with any government agency for you, does not check whether your answers or evidence are correct or sufficient, and cannot guarantee any outcome. Practice questions are examples; a real interview may be different. Progress percentages and “evidence strength” describe how complete your own organizing is — they are not a legal assessment of your case.
2. Your account
You need an account to use Spouseport. Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us if you think someone else has access. A case is shared by both spouses; people you invite as preparers can view it but not change it. You can delete your account at any time in the app (in the iOS app: Case & account → Account → Delete account; on the web dashboard: Account → Delete my account) or by emailing support@spouseport.com.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of what you add (files, photos, captions, answers and notes). You let us store, process and show it to the people on your case so we can run the service. Only add content you have the right to share. Don’t upload anything illegal, harmful or that isn’t related to your case. Our staff can review files to keep the service safe and to help you when you ask; such access is logged. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms.
4. Premium and payments
Spouseport Premium is a one-time in-app purchase made through Apple. Apple handles the payment; refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. One purchase unlocks Premium for the whole case (both spouses). The free plan includes the evidence archive, scanning, forms and the timeline, with a storage limit per case; Premium adds the features described in the app and more storage. Premium is a software feature set — it is not legal services.
5. Availability and changes
We work to keep Spouseport available and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is”. We may change or discontinue features; if we stop the service we will give you reasonable notice and a way to download your files.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions made by any government agency, for delays, denials or other outcomes of your application, or for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [State], USA, except where your local law requires otherwise.
